	n please check the meeting agenda. A SHAC is a school board appointed advi
	sory group of individuals who represent different segments of the communit
	y. By law\, a majority of the members must be persons who are parents of s
	tudents enrolled in the district and who are not employed by the district.
	 The AISD SHAC is made up of parents\, community members\, students\, and 
	school staff working together to improve the health of all students and fa
	milies through coordinated school health programs. Texas law requires all 
	school districts to have a SHAC. Learn more about SHAC Bylaws. The AISD Sc
	hool Health Advisory Council meets on a Wednesday of every month\, with th
	e exception of July and August\, from 6:00–7:30 p.m. Meetings will be he
	ld in a training room at the new AISD Headquarters located at 4000 S. IH-3
	5 Frontage Road\, 78704 unless otherwise noted. Membership to the SHAC is 
	by annual school board appointment. Meetings are open to all interested pe
